Masterclasses for 2012

In the year of H. M. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, our classes are all themed (loosely!) around the idea of "Great Women" ... which of course means all of us!!

 NOTE: ILLUSTRATIONS DO NOT REPRESENT CLASS DESIGNS ... SEASONAL DESIGNS WILLBE CREATED FOR EACH CLASS!!

 SPRING THREE DAY 21/22/23 APRIL

Cleopatra’s Needle: A class featuring stunning designs based on the idea of ancient Egyptian symbolism in a contemporary style, with a “mix and match” design sheet with motifs to choose in advance, including lotus flowers, wheat sheaf, scarab beetle, cat, etc.

SUMMER THREE DAY 23/24/25 JUNE Option to add 2 extra days i.e. finish on 27 June

Elizabethan Serenade: To celebrate our own sovereign’s diamond jubilee, in the words of the Bard, “while owls do fly…” A spectacular study of an owl in flight, with other motifs, including a wild “Tudor” rose … choice of 3 or 5 day option. Optional meal at the end of the five day class.

AUTUMN THREE DAY 22/23/24 SEPTEMBER

Indian Summer – Durga: Durga is the supremely radiant Indian Goddess of Good over Evil, traditionally depicted as riding on a lion or tiger. This class celebrates Indian motifs, and like the spring class, will offer a selection of motifs from which to choose your final design in advance.

TWO DAY INTRODUCTORY CLASS 27/28 OCTOBER

For complete beginners to Helen’s style – or for those who would like the opportunity to brush up the on the basics of her techniques. You will be supplied with a charming, specially designed design, together with colour chart and notes to take away with you. All materials, silks and tools will be available on the day

WINTER THREE DAY 1/2/3/DECEMBER

Victorian Christmas: Just what it says on the box … all the elements of a traditional Christmas celebration, with a few surprises along the way. Prince Albert's "introduction" of the Christmas tree to England, thrilled Victoria.  Our embroidered Christmas tree will do the same for you!! Optional meal on Saturday night.
