HELEN'S ONLINE CLASSES (MLOL)
If you are familiar with my books you will know that to me embroidery is more than just a hobby or an art form - it is a way of life. My "signature" techniques, which have become so popular through my books and Masterclasses, are all based upon stitches which can be traced back to the Middle Ages, the Anglo Saxon era and beyond - brought up to date for our modern tastes, but still with an echo of that ancient and mysterious world of legend, myth and magic. Certain pagan mythologies held that all of life, both mortal and immortal, was held together by the "Wyrd" - a great interwoven network of silken threads. Tremble a thread at any point and its repercussions could be felt throughout creation. Now our world communicates through the Internet - and so although I can only reach relatively few of you in my "real" classes, I can share my work with many more via "virtual" lessons. This is where "WEB MEETS WYRD".
My innovative Masterclass - Lessons on Line - is a whole new concept in embroidery allowing you to work at your own pace, interact with other students and have direct access to me if you have any problems with your stitching.
